GO TAILORED AND MAYBE YOU CAN CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY . . ..

Just kidding.  Grand uncle to Prince Charles, The Duke of Windsor does look eerily similar to his nephew.  Coincidentally, both heirs to the throne changed the British monarchy around a little for the women they loved.  Neither woman was young by the way and both felt more at ease donning some form of tailored look on their wedding day.  Wallis Simpson's low key wedding called for a pale blue crepe suit created by Mainbocher, the American designer who set up shop in Paris in the 1930s.  The skirt was to the floor and cut on the bias. Check out the impeccable detailing on the bodice.
Camilla wore two versions of tailored chic for her wedding; one for the civil marriage ceremony and the other for the service at Westminster.  Both designs were more like  coat and dress ensembles.  While photographers seem to love shooting this woman in the midst of what looks like she's cussing out press, on her wedding day she was so radiant she almost looked 19 again.  Once more she had that young, pugnacious beauty that initially captivated HRH the bachelor prince of  the Mod 1960s.

Shown in her coat and dress ensembles by fav designer, Robinson Valentine.  She recycled the shorter version by wearing it to The National Assembly of Wales in 2007.  Leave it to Camilla to break the tradition of not only wearing a designer ensemble twice, but wedding ensemble at that!
